In this action-packed oater (based on B.R. Tuttle's short story "Gun Glory"), guardian Chris Morrell (John Wayne) helps his half-Indian charge (Shirley Jean Rickert) search for her white father so she can collect on a $50,000 inherited oil claim. But with two bands of desperadoes on their tail -- both itching to get their hands on the girl's fortune -- the Duke has his work cut out. Sheila Terry plays Wayne's love interest.
