In this sobering documentary, filmmaker Vita Lusty tells the true stories of 13 women who lived their lives as battered wives -- until they fought back in self-defense and killed their abusive husbands. Now in prison, they describe how they were seduced into marriage by their late husbands' charms and then gradually introduced to their "real" personalities. These women are survivors … but under the law, they're considered murderers.
