Tess of the Storm Country

Starring seminal silent-film star Mary Pickford, this drama follows a rags-to-riches storyline common in films from the early 1920s. Local plutocrat Elias Graves (David Torrence) decides to use his money and influence to evict a group of poor fishermen squatting on his land. But he didn't count on shantytown darling Tess (Pickford) organizing the squatters -- and stealing the heart of his son (Lloyd Hughes).
