When an ailing boy witnesses his mother's murder, the killers take the child hostage to prevent him from going to the police. But the boy can only survive a week without his medication, and as he weakens, one of the kidnappers has a change of heart -- only to turn up missing herself. Erich Engels directs this twisting thriller that stars Wolfgang Preiss, Kai Fischer, Gert Fröbe, Carl Lange, Werner Peters and Maria Paudler.
