After 15-year-old best friends Betsy (Kirsten Dunst) and Arlene (Michelle Williams) inadvertently witness the Watergate burglary, the president (Dan Hedaya) takes an interest in them and hires them as "official White House dog walkers" to keep them under close surveillance. But the girls, once impressed by Nixon's stature and personality, learn that he's not as friendly as it seems, and threaten spill their guts to local newspaper reporters.
