This 1980s comedy peeked in on the lives of several quirky residents at an apartment complex, with the Jenkins family -- homemaker Mary (Marla Gibbs), contractor Lester (Hal Williams) and their daughter, Brenda (Regina King) -- taking center stage. Mary's best friend, Rose (Alaina Reed Hall), also lives there, but it's their neighbor Sandra (Jackee) who's usually the topic of conversation due to her revolving door of boyfriends.
