Madeline Foster (Maura Tierney) is an NYPD detective with a drinking problem and a penchant for rough sex in this police thriller that has her investigating the kidnapping of a businessman's wife. With the kidnapper threatening to kill his hostage if ransom isn't delivered within 24 hours, Madeline deduces she's dealing with the notorious "Harry Houdini" (Adrien Brody) -- so named for his uncanny ability to avoid capture.
