In legendary filmmaker Ed Wood's cinematic debut, a conflicted transvestite (Wood) tries to decide whether to reveal his cross-dressing fetish to his fiancée, Barbara (Dolores Fuller), who's begun to notice clothes disappearing from her closet. This campy B movie includes Wood's trademark combination of melodrama, stock footage and social commentary. Horror-film icon Bela Lugosi plays the omniscient puppet master.
