Director Terence Young presents this thriller about a former Army sergeant, Joe Moran (Charles Bronson), who's moved to France, married and changed his name in an effort to start anew. Despite all of this, Moran's former Army cohorts are still able to find him, and they show up expecting the ex-sergeant to repay an old debt. When Moran refuses, the friends-turned-enemies kidnap his wife (Liv Ullman).
