4192: The Crowning of the Hit King
(2010)|
Armed with rarely seen archival footage, documentarian Terry Lukemire re-creates the historic night of Sept. 11, 1985, when Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb's all-time career hits record with his 4,192nd hit inside Cincinnati's Riverfront Stadium. The film also includes commentary and remembrances from sportscasters, players and none other than Rose himself, who weighs in on his own hype and dissects his relentless drive.
