After crash-landing in Los Angeles' mundane San Fernando Valley, three colorful aliens (Jeff Goldblum, Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans) befriend manicurist Valerie (Geena Davis) and her wacky boss (Julie Brown), who give the threesome makeovers and show them the town in this zany comedy from director Julien Temple. When one of the aliens sweeps Valerie off her feet, she must choose between her unusual extraterrestrial lover and her unfaithful fiancé.
