Matt Dillon stars as 18-year-old Brooklynite Jeffrey Willis, who gets a summer job at Long Island's swanky El Flamingo Beach Club and learns how the other half lives courtesy of slick fat-cat Phil Brody (Richard Crenna). Will the resort's lavish lifestyle cause Jeffrey to turn his back on his humble working-class family? Marisa Tomei makes her big-screen debut in this surprisingly emotional coming-of-age story set in 1963.
