In this British action-comedy, Samuel L. Jackson stars as Elmo McElroy, a kilt-wearing, golf-obsessed illegal chemist who arrives in Liverpool to clinch a $20 million drug deal. However, McElroy's former boss (Meat Loaf) has sent a skilled assassin (Emily Mortimer) after him. With a skinhead gang and the cops also hounding him, McElroy teams up with Yank-hating small-time hood Felix (Robert Carlyle) to seal the deal before anyone can off him.
