In the near future, Paris is devastated by a new AIDS-like disease that infects people who have sex without being in love. Aging thieves Marc (Michel Piccoli) and Hans (Hans Meyer) develop a plan to steal a newly devised serum that combats the disease. They want to sell it on the black market, so they recruit young Alex (Denis Lavant) to help them. But Alex only complicates matters in this inventive action-adventure from director Leos Carax.
