After socialite Kuki Gallmann (Kim Basinger) nearly dies in a car accident, she resolves to live a more meaningful existence. Kuki and new husband Paolo (Vincent Perez) move to Kenya, where they struggle to build a nature conservancy. But while Africa provides beauty and solitude, living there also presents danger.
