Persuaded by a devious corporate henchman (Bill Paxton) to operate on a schizophrenic mathematician (Bud Cort), a brain surgeon (Bill Pullman) begins experiencing firsthand his patient's paranoid confusion. Despite his best efforts, the doctor soon finds himself descending into insanity. Adam Simon directs this inventive thriller based on a screenplay by "Twilight Zone" writer Charles Beaumont.
