The Time of Your Life

William Saroyan's Pulitzer Prize-winning play revolves around the denizens of a 1939 San Francisco bar. Lonely, lovelorn, weary or cynical, they drift in and out of the bar and each other's lives, commenting on the impending war, the beauty of art, and traditional notions of good and evil. One of the relationships stands a chance: a brawny innocent named Tom is falling for a vulnerable young prostitute named Kitty (Patti LuPone).
