English aristocrat Nigel Marshwood (Edward Atterton) causes an uproar when he gets engaged to Hollywood diva Miranda Frayle (Jeanne Tripplehorn) in this witty adaptation of a Noël Coward play. Nigel's mother, Countess Marshwood (Julie Andrews), is particularly displeased. But when Miranda's ex-boyfriend, movie star Don Lucas (William Baldwin), shows up and enlists the help of Miranda's meddling mother-in-law to be, he may just win Miranda back.
