Divorced novelist John (Albert Brooks) needs to know the reason his relationships with women don't work. To learn, he goes to the source: his mother (Debbie Reynolds). John moves in with Mom even though she doesn't want him there, which creates another problem for him to deal with. Rob Morrow plays John's younger brother, who fears losing his "mama's boy" status when big bro moves back home. Brooks directs and co-writes.
