The Toast of New Orleans
(1950)|
Mario Lanza so thrilled audiences with his superb singing in That Midnight Kiss that director Norman Taurog rushed to pair Lanza and Kathryn Grayson again. Grayson plays a snooty opera diva who falls in love with a singing fisherman (Lanza) from the Louisiana bayou. David Niven also stars in this Oscar-nominated film for Best Original Song ("Be My Love").
