Skirt-chaser Michael James (Peter O'Toole) longs to be faithful to his fiancée but can't make a commitment with so many ladies swooning over him. He seeks help from a psychoanalyst (Peter Sellers), unaware that the shrink is busy trying to bed a patient … who has the hots for Michael. When both couples check into a countryside château, catastrophe looms in a string of zany misadventures that test Michael's fidelity and the doctor's mental health.
