This animated film based on an ancient Chinese fable recounts the tale of a feisty farm girl who answers the emperor's call to repel a massive Hun invasion. Breaking cultural traditions, Mulan disguises herself as a male and enters the Imperial Army. In doing so, she strikes an empowering blow for women everywhere and also captures the hearts of her countrymen. (Please note: This is not the Disney film.)
