The Owl and the Pussycat

  (1970)
Felix (George Segal), a straight-laced writer, falls for a loudmouthed call girl named Doris (Barbra Streisand) -- who happens to moonlight as a porn star. The "opposites attract" formula works wonders in this flick, based on a Broadway play by Bill Manhoff. Yet today's audiences are unlikely to be offended by the film's risqué dialogue and racy costumes, which were considered controversial when it premiered.
