Martin Harvey (Martin Short) is a stressed-out executive who decides it's time to get away from it all and take a Caribbean cruise on his family's newly inherited sailboat. Unfortunately, the boat barely floats, and it comes equipped with the obnoxious, macho Captain Ron (Kurt Russell) - a man who is more complicated than he seems, and who can teach Martin a few things about life.
