Rudolph Valentino soars as a Russian Robin Hood in this 1925 silent film. Valentino is a Cossack officer named Vladimir Dubrovsky, who gets banished from the Russian Imperial Court when he declines the romantic advances of Catherine The Great (Louise Dresser). Seeking revenge, he disguises himself as the Black Eagle, robs the rich, gives to the poor and sets out to right several wrongs.
