Based on excerpts from the writings of Russian ballet star Vaslav Nijinksy, this biographical pastiche -- directed by Paul Cox -- dramatizes the brilliant dancer's descent into madness after skyrocketing to fame. Actor Derek Jacobi provides the narration as still photographs, staged sequences, reenactments of moments from Nijinsky's life and re-creations of some of his legendary dances fill the screen.
