Filmmaker Isaac Julien takes us back to the early 1970s and the explosion of blaxploitation films, one of America's most beloved cult genres. These fun and energetic films had all the action, comedy, sex and groovy music one could want in 2 hours' worth of entertainment. This documentary features a wealth of footage from classic films such as Superfly and Shaft, along with interviews with key players like Richard Roundtree and Quentin Tarantino.
