Award-winning actress Deborah Kerr stars as a fiery daughter of Ireland in this post-war spy farce. Having grown up despising everything British, a young Bridie Quilty leaves her hometown hoping to join the IRA, but naively gets caught up with a Nazi spy. Trevor Howard co-stars as the British officer who falls in love with Bridie, eventually helping her escape authorities. The film earned Kerr an award from the New York Film Critics Circle.
