Pig (Cillian Murphy) and Runt (Elaine Cassidy) were born just minutes apart in the same Dublin hospital -- an auspicious beginning that seals them in an almost twin-like relationship. They isolate themselves, encourage each other's destructive tendencies and even make up their own language. But just before they turn 17, their bond is threatened … and when Runt starts yearning for freedom, Pig goes haywire.
