World War II has separated young Neera from her grandfather, who's stuck in Arabia. When the lonely girl finds a wild horse in the desert, she claims it for her own. She's soon reunited with her granddad, but longs for the "lost horse of the desert." A Disney favorite is given a charming prequel (penned by the writer who concocted the first movie) with this story chronicling the stallion's friendship with the plucky lass.
