The Misadventures of Merlin Jones

When quirky college student Merlin Jones (Tommy Kirk) realizes that one of his inventions can read minds, he learns that a judge (Leon Ames) is planning a crime. The police think Merlin is crazy, so he and his girlfriend Jennifer (Annette Funicello) break into the judge's house to dig up evidence. It turns out that the judge is actually a popular crime author -- and he wants Merlin's help cooking up the plot for his next novel.
