Will Ferrell is hilarious as Ron Burgundy, a big-shot news anchor in 1970s San Diego whose reign over the newsroom is questioned when a hardworking feminist reporter, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), shows up and rocks the station with her new ideas. At first, Ron pretends he's hip to the changes, but when he tires of open-mindedness, the true-blue chauvinist within him declares an all-out war.
