Lovestruck undergrad Wyatt Trips (Paul Rudd) suspects that his girlfriend (Christine Taylor) is cheating on him, so he sends her a breakup letter complete with a fake used condom and a posed picture of himself with his stripper friend (Reese Witherspoon). But after learning that he was mistaken about his girlfriend's infidelity, he's got to intercept the letter before it gets into the wrong hands.
