The ravages of World War II threaten the lives of the legendary Lipizzan stallions in this family drama. As the war closes in around them, the horses' trainers and riders must risk their lives to evacuate the animals to a safe haven outside Vienna. Based on a true story, the film features a star-studded cast that includes Robert Taylor, Eddie Albert, Lilli Palmer, Curd Jürgens and James Franciscus.
