Raj (Abhishek Bachchan) lives in New York and is close to his mother (Suhasini Mulay). But there's one nagging issue that separates them -- Raj's mother wants her son to marry. When Raj visits India, his uncle blackmails him into agreeing to meet with eligible girls. But the person his uncle chooses as the matchmaker for these meetings is Namrata (Aishwarya Rai) -- the one person Raj has already antagonized during his 24 hours in Mumbai.
