  (1940)
In Carson City Kid, everyone's favorite cowpoke, Roy Rogers, plays an outlaw out to avenge the murder of his brother. The Kid (Rogers) learns that the suspected killer runs a gambling house in Sonora, so he wheedles a job as bodyguard. In Lights of Old Santa Fe, Roy saves Dale Evans from being bamboozled by a rodeo competitor. Gabby Hayes co-stars in this tuneful Western that features Roy crooning the title tune (among others) to good effect.
