Saketh Ram (Kamal Hasan) and his wife, Aparna (Rani Mukherjee), live happily in Calcutta. But their bliss is disrupted when Muslims come to Saketh's house to kill his wife because he came to the aid of a woman being chased by rioters earlier that day. After his wife dies, Saketh makes it his mission to get revenge and joins a group of Hindu rebels. He remarries and seems to have his life back, but will it be the end of his struggle?
