The Last Valley

Omar Sharif and Michael Caine star in this historical drama set in a peaceful valley -- one of only a handful of locations in Germany to remain unspoiled by the carnage of the Thirty Years War. Vogel (Sharif), a former teacher, seeks refuge in the quiet enclave, while the Captain (Caine) arrives with a band of mercenaries, planning to exploit the valley for his own uses -- until Vogel steps in and arranges a truce.
