Moustapha Akkad's controversial epic about the birth of Islam took six years to prepare and one year to shoot. Akkad actually shot two versions of the 1975 film, one in English and one in Arabic, with different actors in some roles (as the language barrier dictated). This bonus disc contains Ar Risallah -- the complete Arabic version -- with Abdallah Geith stepping in for Anthony Quinn in the role of the warrior Hamza.
