Horror movie icon Bela Lugosi stars in this atmospheric tale as Charles Kessler, an upstanding doctor who is unwittingly transformed into a menacing killer every time he's visited by the specter of his deceased wife (Betty Compson). Directed by Joseph H. Lewis, this underappreciated B chiller is the first of Lugosi's starring vehicles produced by Poverty Row's Monogram Pictures.
