Woman on the Run

Frank Johnson (Ross Elliott), the lone witness to a gangland killing, goes into hiding from the police and potential hit men who would silence him. Trailing him is a dogged inspector (Robert Keith) and Johnson's wife (Ann Sheridan), who thinks Frank is running away from the couple's failing marriage. Friendly newsman Danny Leggett (Dennis O'Keefe) soon joins the hunt … but all is not what it seems in director Norman Foster's crime thriller.
