While walking on a deserted beach one night, grieving widow Christine Faber (Lynn Bari) encounters a mysterious man named Alexis (Turhan Bey), who seems to know all about Christine. Alexis promises to help her contact her late husband's spirit, but can he truly be trusted? Christine and her sister Janet (Cathy O'Donnell) are eventually taken in by Alexis's supernatural powers, and his spell leaves them vulnerable to his more nefarious plans.
