Widow Abby McClure (Doris Day) manages lumberjacks by day and looks after her three sons by night. One day, she meets nice-guy Jake Iverson (Brian Keith), a widower with a daughter. They fall in love, get married and try to blend their two families into one functioning unit. Howard Morris directs this family comedy co-starring Barbara Hershey, George Carlin, Alice Ghostley, Jamie Farr and Pat Carroll.
