When he accepts the job as honorary sheriff for the town's Frontier Days celebration, America's first crooning cowboy, Gene Autry, finds himself on the wrong side of a trio of menacing brothers (Barton MacLane, Joe Sawyer and Horace McMahon) determined to spoil the occasion. Directed by Joseph Santley, this charming Old West extravaganza also stars Jimmy Durante, Ann Miller and George "Gabby" Hayes.
