Spunky Texas youngster Buddy (Jacob Fisher) dreams of turning his young steer Hokey into a prizewinner, a dream that comes true when Hokey is named Grand Champion. Wanting to help out his family, Buddy decides to sell the animal, but when he learns of Hokey's impending slaughter, he must race to rescue his beloved calf. With cameos by Bruce Willis and Julia Roberts and a guest performance by George Strait, this film is one for the whole family.
