A simple country boy experiences life in the big city in this award-winning Russian comedy. Hoping to get his international airline pilot license, Soviet Georgian helicopter pilot Mimino (Vakhtang Kikabidze) leaves his village and heads to Moscow. Once there, he meets Suren (Frunzik Mkrtchyan), an Armenian. Despite the animosity between their countries, Mimino and Suren revel in many adventures and do their best to annoy uptight city folk.
