To say that Ina (Ai-Ai de las Alas) has had a run of misfortune would be an understatement: She's outlived three husbands and must raise 12 children on her own. Steely and stoic, Ina spends little time complaining and instead works hard to maintain an unruffled facade. Her approach works until her kids -- longing for warmth and humanity -- reveal how estranged they feel from her in this Filipino family entry.
