Teen sensation J.D. McQueen (Aaron Carter) is lead singer of the band Downtown and the hottest thing going for the adolescent crowd. At the opposite end of the spectrum is unpopular Jane (Alana Austin), who lives a life of quiet desperation. But that's about to change. When J.D. transfers to Jane's Santa Monica high school, he needs tutoring from the smartest student there. Guess who fits the bill? Leif Garrett and David Cassidy make appearances.
