Penny Proud must save her family from a mad scientist's clutches in this feature-length animated adventure. Instead of celebrating Penny's 16th birthday with a party, her father, Oscar, whisks the Prouds off to a tropical isle -- where danger awaits the clan as evil Dr. Carver plots to pinch Dad's secret hot sauce formula. Plucky Penny sets off to rescue her loved ones and ends up starring in a hip-hop show … and saving the world to boot.
