Set in Spain during Franco's rule, cult filmmaker Fernando Arrabal's surreal shocker follows a young boy named Fando (Mahdi Chaoch) as he tries to uncover the truth about his father's disappearance. In the midst of civil war, Fando's father is arrested for treason. The boy's mother (Núria Espert) tells him that his father committed suicide in prison, but a startling discovery leaves Fando doubting her story.
